L’ITINERARIO TURISTICO DELLA MEMORIA STORICA
L’Itinerario Turistico della Memoria Storica Castanese “Antico Borgo Castanìa” nasce con l’obiettivo di restituire al cittadino la fruizione diretta e la godibilità
dei resti archeologici e dei monumenti dell’antica Castanìa, abbandonata quasi totalmente agli inizi del ‘900. Il percorso si snoda attraverso gli antichi
tracciati viari partendo dalla Chiesa di San Francesco d’Assisi che rappresenta la porta di accesso al centro storico.
Questo progetto nasce dalla passione di Tullio Scurria, un castanese da sempre dedito alla valorizzazione del suo amato paese.
THE HISTORICAL MEMORY TOURIST ITINERARY
The "Antico Borgo Castanìa" Historical Memory Tourist Itinerary of Castanese was created with the aim of restoring to the citizen the direct experience and enjoyment of the
archaeological remains and monuments of ancient Castanìa, almost completely abandoned in the early 1900s. The route winds along the ancient
roads, starting from the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi, which represents the gateway to the historic center.
This project was born from the passion of Tullio Scurria, a native of Castanese who has always been dedicated to promoting his beloved town.
